Please email us for an application if you're interested in adopting. Let us know which animals you're interested in, even if you haven't narrowed it down, just to give us an idea of how many applications we have for each animal.

Fees vary on the individual rat, the length of their stay, and extra care they've needed, etc.

Available for Adoption means that an animal is ready to find its forever home, though it may not be ready to go home just yet. Our goal is to have all our animals spoken for before they are even ready to leave.

Adoption Pending means that someone is already in the application process for this animal, but we are still accepting applications for it. Things come up and we want each animal to have the abosolute best possible chance to find a forever home. If you've applied for an adoption pending animal we'll let you know as soon as the animal's status changes.

Success Story is just as it sounds. These are the animals that we've been successful in pairing with their forever families. Eventually we plan to build a success story/testimonal page, but for now you can read about them right here!

Courtesy Posting means that an animal is not ours. We offer this service for friends of the haven who have need to part with accidental litters, or rats they've stumbled across that needed help getting on their way. We may also offer this service to someone wishing to surrender a rat when we are full. We try very hard to screen anyone who uses this service, but of course we cannot make any promises or guarantees about them, so proceed at your own risk.
